This pumpkin was surprisingly vigorous considering the challenging growing year we had. The main self-terminated during a cold snap. It was grown on a secondary and was still 660lbs in a very cool summer. Sidewalls averaged 12-13" thick.
Fantastic looking deep orange beauty. Won the Howard Dill Award at the Skagit Valley Pumpkin Competition on September 30th,2017. Keep in mind this pumpkin was only pollinated on August 1st. Very aggressive.
VERY aggressive plant and very trouble free overall. This was a 6 lobed fruit and its largest one day gain was 47lbs. Keep in mind that this was grown in a 600 sq ft patch in fairly mild North Vancouver, BC. Can only imagine what it would have done in a warmer climate.
